Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation

Each year, IGCC awards up to $125,000 to support the planning and implementation of major conferences on a theme related to the mission and research agenda. IGCC addresses global challenges to peace and prosperity through rigorous, policy-relevant research, training, and outreach on international security, economic development and the environment. Full-time ladder rank UC faculty members are eligible to apply. The competition is open to all academic disciplines. Multidisciplinary approaches and policy-relevant work are encouraged, as is the inclusion of nonacademic experts.

Institute of Transportation Studies

The University of California Institute of Transportation Studies (UC ITS) is dedicated to supporting transportation research from across the UC system. Each year UC researchers from campuses that do not host an ITS branch are invited to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) to support research that will assist the Golden State in maximizing the economic, environmental, and social benefits of transportation investments.

The University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States (UC MEXUS), established in 1980, is an academic research institute dedicated to encouraging, securing, and contributing to binational and Latino research and collaborative academic programs and exchanges. Our main focus is to contribute substantially to improving binational scholarly understanding and providing positive contributions to society in both Mexico and the United States, particularly in the graduate and professional areas.
