This brand new research cluster composed of faculty and grads, envisioned by PI Yiman Wang (Professor) and co-PI’s Boreth Ly (Associate Professor) and Hunter Bivens (Associate Professor), reckons with the legacy of socialist environmental discourses and practices. We explore the critical role art and media could play in promoting decolonization and environmental justice. We seek funding to curate a speaker series, an exhibition, and to acquire research materials. We plan to launch a field-defining edited volume, and leverage it to seek extramural funding to further develop this project. This cluster was supported by a collaborative research grant.
