ARI Supported Project:
Refract is an online peer-reviewed, open-access journal founded and run by graduate students at UCSC and dedicated to interdisciplinary conversations about visual culture, non-canonical methodologies, and divergent histories. Our mission is to foster collaboration among diverse groups and promote open access to academic research. Refract’s fifth volume, “Sensing Place” will feature scholarly articles and other media that explore and trouble the intersections of ritual, place, and the sensorium.
