Jorge Palacios is an artist and anthropologist from San Antonio, TX in the Environmental Art and Social Practice MFA program. Their practice engages with installation art and ethnography to explore the relationship between technology, land, and speculative futures. Their current work builds off of an ethnography of SpaceX in South Texas and explores foraging and video projection as a methodology for speculating on outdoor installation and alternative land-based practices. They hold an MA in Social Sciences from University of Chicago, a BFA in Glass from Rhode Island School of Design, and a BS in Astrophysics from Brown University.
